Component 3. Laboratory

Objectives

In the framework of present component, it is proposed to increase capacity of existing laboratories, especially in terms of QC/QA and also procurement of necessary lab equipment and reagents, organization and conducting of trainings professional testings and interlaboratory comparisons, carrying out of practical works, including sampling and analyses of Lake water samples, considering of possibility to use “Moltur” vessel for these purposes.

One of the additional tasks within present component is improvement of Lab’s personnel skills in terms of advanced laboratorial equipment operation, particularly, atomic-absorption spectrometer, purchased for Environment Monitoring Administration SAEPF within preceding Project “KGZ-Water”.

Activities

Organization of partner agency’s laboratories participation in the international professional testing, provided by the Finnish Environment Institute.

Results

Registration of two SAEPF’s Laboratories (Bishkek Accredited Lab and Cholpon-Ata Lab) in ProfTests:

PT SYKE 8/2014 – Metals in Water (October, 2014). Samples have been delivered to Bishkek and Issyk-Kul from Finland for analyses by laboratories.
PT SYKE 12/2014 – Waste Water II (November, 2014)
